I Don’t Get (Understand) This Mag. Can Someone Help Me?

I’m always on the lookout for magazines which highlight the undeniable beauty of black women.
I was therefore quite excited to stumble across this issue of Black Men Magazine. I looked forward to it with baited breath. . meaning, I was “quite anxious,” okay? But when I received it – I became somewhat perplexed.
I get that this magazine is primarily for black men.
I also see that it is devoted – to mainly featuring the alluringness of black women.
I further comprehend – that this edition, specifically – is dedicated to black females who are a medium-brown tone or darker. Bravo.
I also understand – that the photographic emphasis – is often on the girl’s rear, because that’s where many black women shine. The babes in this issue, however – are both stacked – and have great derrieres.
(Gee, what I wouldn’t give – to have one or both – for just a day. Although, if given the choice -- I’d probably opt for having big b**bs. But that’s just me.)
What I don’t understand – is why this magazine – is so relatively modest? A few of the women are wearing skimpy bikinis or thongs. But many – are covered up quite a bit.
And when they’re not – they get – bathed-in-darkness (so you can’t see anything). Huh?
Take cover model Angel Davis, for example. She’s wearing a pretty – but somewhat demure – lingerie set which extends almost up to her navel. Okay, I can accept that – for the cover. But that’s how she’s dressed for her entire set. She doesn’t lose any garments, even symbolically (with arms covering). No woman – in this magazine – shows any more skin than how she starts out. What’s up with that? To me, if feels like the undeniable beauty of black women – is not being fully exploited. Too much is left-on-the-table, so to speak.
I assume this is because – this magazine may be bought by women – for their men, some of whom may be in prison (where standards of modesty are stricter). Is that what’s driving this? Or do black men – require less visual stimulation? That can’t be it, can it?
If you like – your black women – more modestly attired or posed (at lease some-of-the-time), this is a magazine I highly recommend.
