Dr. Gyora Benedek is a prominent computer scientist. In his spare time, he invents and develops games and logic puzzles, including the worldwide hits Lights Out, NimX and iTop.
Dr. Benedek invented Hidato while scuba diving in the Red Sea.

Great puzzles to exercise your brain

These puzzles are meant to exercise your brain, and they do. I have all the previous books. I have found that they are great in getting my math students to think and use logical constructs. I give these books to my graduating 8th graders. The key to completing the puzzles is to resist the urge to guess. If you guess, you will end up guessing wrong and have to bring out the old eraser and try again, usually from scratch.
I contacted the author, Mr. Benedek, and he was very nice and informative. He has done a great service by issuing these books, and I highly recommend them.
