About the Author
The author began her life in a small New England town with her mother, stepfather, and siblings. Desiring to get away from small-town monotony, the path of her work history took many twists and turns from different statewide locations to various employment positions, such as legal secretary, early childhood teacher, customer service, and administrative positions in various fields. She obtained an associate's degree in computer science just ahead of the economic downturn. Those experiences culminated in entering the field of hypnotherapy, where she gained insight and a deeper understanding of life, her own and other's. She is now a practicing hypnotherapist and lives with her family in the southern part of the United States.

What if we could rewrite our past...

I don’t believe I’m alone when I say that many of us have had experiences in life that we can’t quite forget because we were embarrassed, felt stupid, frustrated, trapped or depressed. Somehow we got past them and moved on with our lives but every now and then wish there were some way to erase those memories completely from our thoughts. I like this author’s idea of rewriting our past, so instead of making us cringe upon recall, we can smile, laugh, or stick out our tongues to the past event thereby taking the sting out of the memory. Does what we perceive to be true inevitably become our truth? In any case, as I read these stories, I wondered what the author's “original” experiences had been but soon forgot about that idea as I felt drawn into the shadow of her life within her rewritten experiences. I felt tears come to my eyes, I felt love, I felt anger, and I felt the sense of vindication. My imagination and humor were greatly stirred by her story, Nexus. I could relate to many underlying points made in her writings but mostly, I just enjoyed how this author chose to deal with her past through the catharsis of her stories.
